I know how it feels to silence your dreams. As a child, I loved to sing, write, and perform, but over time, I started listening to those messages that my voice didn’t matter. A single comment from someone in my choir about my vibrato stuck with me so bad, I stopped creating. I stopped sharing.
For years, I convinced myself that creativity wasn’t practical. That it was selfish. That I wasn’t talented enough. And all the other excuses.
Everything changed when I finally shared a song I'd written with an especially supportive friend. Their encouragement cracked open a door I had shut for decades.
Since then, I have:
Spearheaded performance groups for female empowerment. Produced and wrote several albums (one of them won a Tammie award for Best Vermont Rock Album). Helped over a hundred women reclaim their creative voice.
I learned that creativity isn’t about being the best.
It’s about giving yourself permission.
Now, let's give you wings to grant your own.
